National Collegiate Athletic Association

Company Overview
NCAAThe main purpose of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA®) is to govern intercollegiate athletic competition in a fair, safe, equitable and sportsmanlike manner, and to integrate intercollegiate athletics into higher education so that the educational Package of the student-athlete is paramount. Made up of colleges, universities and conferences across the United States, the NCAA is responsible for introducing and creating bylaws, as well as governing, promoting and further enhancing the purposes and goals of intercollegiate athletics.

Business Objectives
With the increase in status, recognition and expectation the Men's Final Four has seen in recent years, the NCAA began to explore new avenues in which to further enhance the event, especially as it related to the everyday NCAA college basketball fan. Left to unrelated third parties in the past, the NCAA was looking to establish Official ticket, hotel and hospitality packages, all of which were to be sanctioned by the NCAA itself. Additionally, the NCAA was also looking to place more control over the illegal sale of tickets on the secondary market and implement a program in which fans could safely and conveniently resell tickets that would otherwise go unused.

Solution
Through an unprecedented partnership with PrimeSport, the NCAA established the first-ever, officially sanctioned and authorized Men's Final Four Fan2Fan Ticket Exchange and further expanded the relationship to offer a new product for fans in which tickets, hospitality and hotel accommodations were packaged together.

Results
Tailored to meet the needs of both corporate groups and individuals, the new, inclusive packages greatly enhanced the overall fan Package of the Men's Final Four. The newly established program provided consumers with multiple, customizable package offerings, that included Official game tickets, hotel accommodations, Hoop City tickets, admission to team practices and access to the NCAA's Official pre-game hospitality event at Club F4TM. Similarly, the development of the Fan2Fan Exchange also contributed to the overall success of the 2007 NCAA Men's Final Four. Through the program, fans were provided a safe, secure and convenient marketplace in which to buy and sell unused tickets, the NCAA was able to monitor the sale of Men's Final Four tickets on the secondary market, and the unauthorized and illegal sale of game tickets was limited for the first time in years.

Seattle Seahawks, Super Bowl XL

Company Overview
Seattle SeahawksThe Seattle Seahawks have been an established member of the National Football League for the past 32 years.  Located in the Pacific Northwest, the team is a member of the NFC West and has seen both ups and downs throughout its existence.  In 2006, however, the Seahawks reached their highest peak since inception, earning their first-ever Super Bowl appearance after winning the NFC Championship.

Business Objectives
Boasting a large and emphatic fan base, including approximately 20,000 season ticket holders, it seemed that the entire city of Seattle had caught Super Bowl fever. Held in Detroit, the Super Bowl was more than 2,300 miles from the Seahawks home base, but fans were determined to see the franchise's most important game in person. As is precedent with all NFL teams, the Seahawks held a Super Bowl ticket lottery in which all interested season ticket holders could participate. However, only a limited number of tickets were available through the lottery, and the Seahawks wanted to ensure that all fans were provided an additional opportunity to attend Super Bowl XL.

In addition, the Seahawks were also looking for an organization to take care of their sponsors' travel needs. Based mainly in Seattle, the individuals comprising this group were also planning on attending the Super Bowl, and the team wanted to ensure that they were taken care of in a first-class and professional manner.

Solution
As the team's Official Fan Travel Partner, backed by more than 10 of years Package in the sports travel industry, PrimeSport was chosen by the Seahawks to organize their Super Bowl Fan Travel and Sponsor Travel programs.

Results
Specifically designed for the Super Bowl, PrimeSport operated both programs successfully. From organizing chartered flights to providing event tickets, PrimeSport efficiently managed the entire scope of the programs from start to finish.

All individuals traveling under thePrimeSport umbrella received an all-inclusive Package, customizable to fit their needs. Guests were given the option to choose from several different packages that included charter airfare out of Seattle, hotel accommodations, the option to attend PrimeSport's Saturday Night Chalk Talk and also the opportunity to upgrade their game ticket. Additionally, all guests on chartered flights received airport and game day transportation, and were provided access to the Seahawks Official Pre-game Tailgate Party, hosted by PrimeSport. Sponsors traveling within the program were further afforded additional group options, such as private dinners and player meet-and-greets.

All individuals traveling within thePrimeSport program Packaged Super Bowl XL right alongside the Seahawks. And while they didn't leave with the Championship, they did take home memories that will undoubtedly last a lifetime.
